Nasdaq Stock Market Inc. and Clean Edge Inc., a San Francisco energy-research company, are launching a clean-energy stock index Thursday. Cleantech Capital Group, an advisory firm based in Ann Arbor, Mich., teamed up with the American Stock Exchange to create the Cleantech Index earlier this year. Exchange-traded funds and other investment products linked to the Clean Edge and Cleantech indexes are in development and should be available later this year.
