Labor sees hypocrisy in LPG subsidy.

Labor is accusing the Federal Government of double standards over LPG.
Just a month ago the Government said LPG did not suit the Commonwealth fleet and was not readily available all around Australia.
But this week Prime Minister John Howard offered a $200,000 subsidy to convert private cars to LPG.
Labor's Joel Fitzgibbon says it is hypocritical.
"As John Howard cruises into work this morning in his chauffeured, taxpayer-funded, petrol-fueled limousine he should reflect on his let them eat cake approach," he said.
But Mr Howard has told Macquarie Radio the Government subsidy to convert cars is already popular.
"I am greatly encouraged by the volume of inquiries," Mr Howard said.
He says the states should follow Western Australia's example and offer their own $1,000 for converting cars to LPG.
"Why can't Mr [Morris] Iemma do for the people of New South Wales what Mr [Alan] Carpenter is doing for the people of Western Australia," he said.
"I would hope that all the state governments around Australia would follow the Western Australian lead."
