National Nuclear Conference

Impossible or inevitable?
The Australian Technology Network of Universities (ATN) takes great pleasure in inviting you to participate in The National Nuclear to be convened at the National Convention Centre Canberra, one of the nation’s premier conference venues.
The conference theme – “Nuclear; Impossible or Inevitable” – has been authorised by the University Chancellors to place a group of the country’s major Universities at the core of one of Australia’s most important and controversial debates in decades.
The nuclear debate must be conducted at all levels in the community with openness and strong and worthy contributions from all stakeholders and it must consider the range of alternative energy sources available.
There are myths to be dispelled and concerns to be expressed, there are investment and market opportunities to be explored. We also need to learn from the experiences of those who already live with nuclear.
This conference will aim to move the nuclear debate on from polarizing politics to free dialogue and learning and we look forward to welcoming you in the nation’s capital in September.
