Campbell defends climate change efforts
The Federal Government has denied it is putting its head in the sand on the issue of climate change.
Greens Senator Christine Milne says the issue of climate change is not being adequately addressed by the Howard Government.
She is urging people to vote Greens at the next election to give them the balance of power in the Senate so more progress can be made on the issue.
The Minister for the Environment, Senator Ian Campbell, says Australia is leading the fight against climate change.
"The Greens would serve themselves better if they were honest about the things that the Government is doing, rather than saying that we're doing nothing," he said.
"You can't spend $2 million on climate change and then be accused of doing nothing."
