Australians want action on climate change: Rudd

[ Our Kev the Action Man ? Go Tin Tin ?!! woof woof ?!? ]

Opposition Leader Kevin Rudd has dismissed the Federal Government's criticism of his plan to address climate change.

Environment Minister Malcolm Turnbull says Labor is being religious and fanatical about the issue, while the Government is taking a productive global approach.

Mr Rudd disagrees.

"When it comes to climate change, what the Australian people want is action not words," he said.

"The Australian people are saying this: time is running out and we need a practical plan of action for Australia and the region and the world to deal with this problem.

"Mr Turnbull can use whatever extravagant language he wants; the Australian people want action."
