Madonna, Bloc Party and Razorlight are among the acts set to take part in Live Earth, a global series of concerts aimed at raising awareness of climate change.
Red Hot Chili Peppers, Keane and Duran Duran are also scheduled to perform at Wembley Stadium on July 7, the focal point of a series of gigs due to take place worldwide and inspired by former US vice-president Al Gore.
Confirming the seventeen headliners who will perform at Wembley in a gig reminiscent of the original Live Aid, Mr Gore said: "By attracting an audience of billions, we hope Live Earth will launch a global campaign giving a critical mass of people around the world the tools they need to help solve the climate crisis."
