Regional REEEP Secretariat


The Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP) is a coalition of progressive governments, businesses and organisations committed to accelerating the development of renewable and energy efficiency systems.
In August 2004 the REC became the regional secretariat of the REEEP for Central and Eastern Europe and Turkey.

Seminar for Regulators on Guaranties of OriginThe REEEP regional secretariat, in cooperation with Energy Regulators Regional Association, is organising a seminar for regulators on guaranties of origin. The event will take place on June 9, 2006 in Budapest. Contact us if you would like to participate.

Workshop on twinning cities and municipality networks for sustainable energy - 7 April 2006, BudapestThe Regional REEEP secretariat gathered together the representatives from the major municipal networks active in sustainable efficiency field in Central and Eastern Europe.
REEEP endorses a major regional eventThe Second International Congress on Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Sources: Financing Mechanisms for Implementation, will take place on 8-10 March 2006 in Sofia, Bulgaria. For more information please visit the website of the event.
Sustainable Energy Accelerator launched in BulgariaThe European Business Council for Sustainable Energy, together with local partner Via Expo, launched E5-SEA, a REEEP funded project in Bulgaria. More than 100 participants registered for the kick-off event, which took place on November 29, 2005 in Sofia. For more information contact Zdenek Lomecky or Maya Kristeva.
Possible co-financing for REEEP projectsCheck out Defra's Environment for Europe fund as a potential co-financing opportunity. The deadline for completed proposals is January 13, 2006. More information available at DEFRA and PECE websites.
REEEP announces the Fourth Call for ProposalsThe Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Programme (REEEP) has made EUR 3 million available for projects, events, partnerships and strategic regional programmes to boost the development of sustainable energy policy and financing. The Power to ChangeA travelling exhibition on renewable energy and energy efficiency, The Power to Change opened in conjunction with the launch of the UK Presidency of the European Union on July 5, 2005 at the Museum of Natural History in Budapest.The exhibition has been displayed in Vienna, Bratislava, Pecs (Hungary) and Bucharest since.
