The Greens Energy Ignorance

The Greens have once again revealed their ignorance of commercial matters with unfounded accusations that the Alinta Tamar Valley Power Station has ‘collapsed’.
Minister for Energy, David Llewellyn, said the Greens Kim Booth has again been reckless in his abuse of Parliamentary Privilege.
“Mr Booth has used Parliament to make a statement that has no basis in fact, without regard for the standing of the parties involved.
“Conditions precedent are part and parcel of deals of this nature. Alinta have sought extra time for only one of the many conditions in this deal. That extension has been granted.
“For Mr Booth to beat this up as if the entire deal had collapsed in nothing short of shameful.
“Aurora, Hydro Tasmania and Alinta remain firmly committed to the project.
“Likewise, to suggest that this could have any impact on tomorrow’s budget is bizarre” said Mr Llewellyn.
