ACCC loses price-fixing case
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) faces million of dollars in legal bills after losing a Federal Court case against alleged price fixing in the Geelong retail petrol market in Victoria.
In handing down his judgement, Justice Gray dismissed the case, saying none of the arrangements or understandings alleged by the ACCC existed.
He says the ACCC must pay the cost of all the respondents who defended the proceedings.
